After being involved in a life changing experience while working as an undercover narcotics officer, Jay decided to take a safer route and continue his education by attending law school. Jay worked full time for the State of Ohio as a Contract Compliance Officer and pursued his law degree in the evening program at Capital Law. Jay graduated Order of the Curia. After law school, Jay worked as a litigator in a mid-size firm before founding his own practice in 2001. Jay also teaches as an adjunct professor.
Jay has a proven record of service. In addition, Jay has a firm understanding of the oath of office, because it is an oath of service that he took as a police officer. Jay is committed to serving the residents of the 21 st House District. As a father of four young children and one on the way, Jay has a vested interest in the progress of this District and Ohio. Jay is a resident of Worthington Hills and his law practice is located in Worthington.
The constituents of the 21 st House District deserve the energy, enthusiasm and commitment that Jay would bring to the State House. Jay’s professionalism and work ethics coupled with his diverse life experience is what would make him an excellent representative of the residents of the 21 st House District. |

Jay was raised in the restaurant business and from a very early age, Jay helped his father in the restaurant. Jay’s father taught him the delicate balance of managing school, work and athletic schedules. Jay developed into a very talented athlete and became an All-American. Jay went on to play semi-professional baseball before deciding to become a police officer.
Jay became a police officer for the New York City Police Department. Jay’s police work eventually took him to Florida. Between New York City and Florida, he worked as a police officer for twelve years. Jay was assigned to various areas of police work from patrol, to detective work to eventually undercover narcotics. Jay has received many awards and medals ranging from excellent to heroic police work, as well as awards for interview and interrogation techniques. |
